The work behind the connections
About & Experience
My work connects care, research, technology and practical problem-solving. I bring experience in community care, disability support, education, business and leadership to the questions I’m following now.
I’m Seizon valavaiau, an independent researcher, project developer and Juris Doctor student. I’m interested in what happens between a system’s promise and a person’s actual experience—and what we can build or change to close that gap.

Independent research
and project development
I follow questions across disciplines, then turn the connections into research, working prototypes and practical project foundations. Care, access, privacy and accountability run through that work.
Here are three parts of it, with the work already done and the next stages kept clear.
Working prototype
A person-centred care initiative. I’ve developed its concept, requirements and browser-based prototype: care profiles, original health records, medicines, appointments and questions to take into a consultation.
The prototype includes encrypted local storage, export and restore. Co-design and evaluation with patients, caregivers and clinicians, alongside accessibility and qualified security review, are planned next stages.
Connected body of work
My eunisys brings together writing, research, making, projects and lived history. I’ve developed its project registers, operating plans and documented handover and recovery foundations.
The purpose is continuity: keeping the work, its history and the connections between it accessible and manageable.
Writing and research
Lived experience, evidence and ideas for more humane systems. My research examines service access, privacy, accountability and statutory protections, with particular attention to the work people must do just to get help.
Related academic work includes a mental-health app case study exploring access, privacy, cultural safety, ethical AI and human oversight.
